\u201cCOMMERCE changes the fate and genius of the nation\u201d-Thomas Gray: The Department of Commerce was established in the academic year 1997-1998, with only B.Com, The department became Post Graduate Department offering an M.Com Programme in 2004. In 2007 the department was upgraded to the Research department offering MPhil and started offering Ph.D. in 2010. Sharp minds are at work at the Department of Commerce, where students learn the latest trends in business, commerce, and entrepreneurship. The faculty's enthusiasm to impart quality education is reflected in the student's inclination for perfection.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/b><\/p>\n

Imparting value-based education reflects changes to the students so that they become sensitive to the needs of the community to be addressed and constantly strives to update themselves to be relevant and useful to the society in which they live and contribute to the growth of the nation. The students after completing their programs find themselves placed as Accounts officers, Auditors, Financial Advisors, Marketing Personnel, Public relations Executives and Officers, Industrial Relations Executives, and Officers.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure<\/b><\/p>\n

The Department hosts a good number of books and journals available for student reference. The Department organizes special seminars and workshops that suit the syllabus and also caters to the needs of the industry. As Tally plays a vital role in several business decisions and has emerged as the market leader in financial accounting software the students of this department are given hands-on training in this software and also in Ms-office.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
