The Institution is located on the semi-urban area of Thanjavur. Special concessions are given to the students hailing from Athivetti the place where the founder of this institution came from. 125 students have enjoyed the benefits of this concession, which includes free boarding and lodging, transport, uniforms. The fees for these students are borne in by the trust. Special concessions are given to the specially abled students. These concessions will be in effect in the future plans as well. Now it has expanded into the areas of Teacher education with the inception of Marudupandiyar College of Education in the academic year 2005-2006.
