The Department of Information Technology aims at offering and provide students to have in-depth knowledge in the Information Technology front like working with databases, Mining Information, Security of data, and the kinds which propel them to be challenging IT professionals to face the current trends that are prevailing in this digital world. The Students taking this course equips them to be industry ready.
Objective:
- Implement computing solutions for global issues and do basic and applied analysis resulting in new innovations in data Technology (IT) and connected knowledge domain areas.
- Apply information on the social impacts of data technologies within the course of their career-connected activities ethically and befittingly.
- Have strong communication and social skills, broad knowledge, associated and understanding of global problems and international views to figure effectively and ethically in multidisciplinary groups, each as team members and leaders.
- Engage in life-long learning, to stay abreast in their profession and procure further qualifications to reinforce their career positions in IT industries.

The department organizes workshops so that the students get hands-on experience on the hardware technologies and the latest software. Various workshops that were conducted are Hardware Troubleshooting, System installation, Open-source Software, Microsoft Solution Provider, AJAX, MATLAB etc.,
The department organizes state level and National / International Conferences periodically where experts and keynote speakers from India and abroad are invited. The Conference aims at bringing all the research scholars to present their ideas and researches to the forum for discussion. The department has so far conducted several National level conferences and International Conferences.
