Our college has a Grievance Redressal Committee to redress the grievance of its students. The students can approach the committee to voice their grievances regarding academic matters, health services, library and other services. Students can inform their grievances directly to principal or they can put grievances letters in to the suggestion box at portico. The committee redresses the grievances by sorting out the problems promptly and judiciously.
Objectives:
The objectives of the Grievance and Redressal Committee are to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. A Grievance committee should be constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the students of the college with the following objectives:
- Upholding the dignity of the College by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the College through promoting cordial Student-Student relationship and Student-Teacher relationship etc.
- Encouraging the Students to express their grievances / problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
- Suggestion / complaint Box is installed in front of the Administrative Block in which the Students, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the Academics / Administration in the College.
- Advising Students of the College to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises.
- Advising all the Students to refrain from inciting Students against other Students, Teachers and College administration
- Advising all staffs to be affectionate to the Students and not behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.
- To support, those students who have been deprived of the services offered by the College, for which he/she is entitled.
- To make officials of the College responsive, accountable and courteous in dealing with the students.
- To ensure effective solution to the student’s grievances with an impartial and fair approach
- To provide appropriate counseling to the students in the process of resolving the grievance.
- To promote cordial relationships amongst the students.
- To review the complaints received by the GRC.
- To conduct the surveys to identify the problems of students and provide suitable solutions
Scope:
The committee deals with grievances received in written format from the students with any of the following matters:
- Academic matters: Related to issue of Marks sheets, Transfer certificate, Conduct certificate or other examination related matters.
- Financial matters: Related to dues and payments for various items such as tuition fees, transport and hostels etc.
- Other matters: related to issue regarding conditions of sanitation, preparation of food, availability of transport, victimization by teachers etc.
Functions:
- The queries will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students
- The GRC formally will review all the Grievances and will act accordingly as per the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court of India & UGC regulation Act 2009.
- The GRC will give reports to the authorities about the grievances attended to and the number of pending issues, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities.
